ONLINE BOOKINGS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

Due to the ever changing situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have suspended the online booking service. This is due to the verbal screening process that we need to complete before appointments are made - we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and ask you for patience and understanding during this time.

Covid-19 Drive Thru

The ‘Hot Hub’ and ‘Drive Thru Assessment’ are new GP services set up to help the NHS assess and look after residents of Littlehampton, Rustington, Angmering and East Preston who may be suffering from Covid-19. Both services will run from the existing Littlehampton Health Centre site, and will be staffed by GPs, nurses, paramedics, healthcare assistants and receptionists from the five local practices. They will serve acutely-ill patients who do not need a 999 ambulance, where all “remote” options (those that are not face-to-face) to manage the conditions have already been exhausted.

The Hot Hub and Drive Thru are not walk-in centres and attendance is strictly by appointment only. You can only attend if referred by your GP.

Both services will be meticulously managed to ensure your safety and that of our staff. You are requested to read the relevant guide for your appointment before attending your appointment, so that you fully understand what is required of you when you come to the site.

Please click on the links below for the Hot Hub guidance and the Drive Thru Assessment guidance.

People who contact NHS111 or their own GP will fall into one of 3 categories:

  1. Most people, with fairly mild symptoms, will be given advice by 111 or their GP;

  2. Some, with severe symptoms, will have immediate admission to hospital arranged by 111 or their GP;

  3. Some will be difficult to assess over the phone and will be invited to go to either the Hot Hub or Drive Thru in Littlehampton where a local GP or nurse will assess them and decide how best to manage their symptoms.

Patients are still advised to use 111 online advice first, if they are concerned about their symptoms. Staff at 111 online will then advise on what next steps people should take.

You have been directed to this page as you have an appointment at our Drive Through facility at Littlehampton Health Centre.  Please read the following BEFORE attending your appointment.

You have been asked to have an assessment by a nurse to determine what care you may need for a possible Covid - 19 infection.

Before you attend I need to know if you are allergic to any antibiotics and which is your nominated pharmacy?  If you have not already nominated a pharmacy please do so before your appointment with the Receptionist.

YOU WILL NOT BE TESTED FOR CORONAVIRUS

Someone else must drive to you to the assessment.
